Questions, answered
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the redirects are done properly, and doing them properly is most of what you are paying for. Every existing URL either stays where it is or gets a permanent redirect to its replacement. I map them before anything goes live, not after.
What if my agency will not release my domain?
That happens more than it should. If the domain is registered in their name it is a negotiation and sometimes a legal question I cannot answer for you. If it is registered in yours, you can move it yourself and I will walk you through it on the call. CLIENT-CONFIRM: check whose name is on the domain registration before we talk, at lookup.icann.org.
How long is the site down?
It is not. The new site is built and tested completely before anything changes, and the switch happens in minutes at a time you choose.
What does it cost to keep the new site online?
At your traffic level, close to nothing. Hosting is free or a few dollars a month, and the domain is roughly $15 a year. Both in your account, both paid by you directly, with no markup from me.
